Mammoth Bite Back in Game 2, Edge Golden Knights 3–2 and Flip the Script
Utah responds under pressure while Vegas learns this series won’t stay comfortable for long.
The Utah Mammoth answered back in Game 2 with a tight 3–2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights, evening the series 1–1 and officially turning this matchup into a real fight. After dropping the opener, Utah came out like a team that had no interest in falling behind again.
From the start, the Mammoth played with more urgency and edge. They attacked early, pushed the pace, and made sure Vegas couldn’t settle into the same controlled rhythm from Game 1. The Golden Knights still had their moments—because that’s what experienced teams do—but this time, they weren’t dictating everything.

The game stayed tight throughout, with both teams trading chances and neither able to pull away. Every goal mattered, every mistake felt bigger, and by the third period, it was clear this would come down to small details. Utah managed to stay just one step ahead, and that made all the difference.
Vegas pushed late, looking to force overtime and steal momentum back, but the Mammoth held on. Not comfortably, not easily—but just enough. And in the playoffs, “just enough” is everything.
Game 2 goes to Utah, tying the series 1–1 and completely resetting the tone. What looked like a controlled start for Vegas is now wide open—and if these first two games are any indication, this series might go exactly where chaos lives.
