Edmonton rallies from 0–2 series deficit, wins four straight to send LA packing for the fourth consecutive year.
The Edmonton Oilers completed a remarkable comeback, defeating the Los Angeles Kings 6–4 in Game 6 to clinch their first-round series 4–2. After dropping the first two games, the Oilers stormed back with four consecutive wins, eliminating the Kings in the opening round for the fourth straight year.
Connor Brown led the charge with a goal and two assists, while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Zach Hyman, Darnell Nurse, and Trent Frederic each contributed a goal and an assist. Goaltender Calvin Pickard made 23 saves to secure the victory for Edmonton.
Despite early goals from Quinton Byfield and Brandt Clarke, the Kings couldn’t maintain their momentum. Edmonton’s relentless offense and timely scoring proved too much, as the Oilers took control and never looked back.
With this win, the Oilers advance to face the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference semifinals.
