Oilers Blank the Knights: Vegas Hits Empty, Edmonton Hits Different

McDavid and friends crash the Sin City sequel with a 3-0 masterpiece — and now lead the series 3-1.

The Oilers just dropped the hockey equivalent of a mic — and then walked off with a smug little smirk.

Game 4 was less of a contest and more of a one-sided documentary titled: “How to Silence Vegas in Three Periods or Less.” Edmonton rolled into the Knights’ fortress, turned off the neon lights, and walked out with a 3–0 win and a commanding 3–1 series lead.

Connor McDavid played like he had cheat codes. Dude looked like he was skating in a different dimension — one where time slows down and defenders turn into mannequins. Add in Leon Draisaitl dropping dimes and Stuart Skinner channeling vintage playoff goalie vibes (yes, really), and this game was locked down tighter than a Vegas vault.

Vegas, on the other hand? The Knights forgot to bring their swords — or offense. Eichel was invisible, Marchessault kept hitting posts like it was part of a TikTok challenge, and the entire power play unit looked like it was buffering on dial-up.

The Oilers were physical, relentless, and one greasy goal away from holding a coaching clinic. Skinner earned his shutout with a calm, cool glove hand that said, “Not today, Vegas.” Meanwhile, Edmonton’s blue line did something rare — defended like their lives (and playoff beards) depended on it.

Now up 3–1, the Oilers head back to Alberta with a chance to send the Knights to the offseason golf course. One more win, and Edmonton’s rolling into the conference finals with more heat than a jalapeño in July.
