McDavid Lights the Lamp, Oilers Light Up Vegas: Edmonton Wins 4-2 in Sin Bin City

The Golden Knights gambled, but McDavid and friends cashed in.

Vegas might be the city that never sleeps, but the Oilers made sure it had nightmares after this one.

Edmonton rolled into T-Mobile Arena like a team on a mission — or maybe just sick of slot machines and overpriced coffee. Either way, they handled business with a 4-2 win that had Golden Knights fans checking the exits before the final horn.

Connor McDavid, aka the fast-moving cheat code with skates, was everywhere. Seriously, someone check if he’s legally allowed to be that good. He scored. He assisted. He probably ran the Zamboni during intermission. At this point, he’s basically the hockey version of John Wick.

Leon Draisaitl? Quiet. Too quiet. Which usually means something terrifying is coming in the next game. Consider this your warning.

Vegas got a couple on the board, sure — but most of their big-name offense looked like they were still in the buffet line. Jack Eichel tried to get something going but mostly just got a front-row seat to McDavid doing alien things.

Stuart Skinner stood tall in net for the Oilers, making clutch saves like he was swiping left on Vegas scoring chances all night. He only let in two, but one of those was basically a physics-defying fluke. The guy’s a brick wall with a moustache.

With this win, the Oilers have taken momentum, the crowd’s soul, and possibly a few casino chips. The Knights are gonna need more than lucky dice to stop this train now.
