New York stomps Indiana 111–94 at MSG, narrows series to 3–2
If the Indiana Pacers thought the Knicks were ready to pack it in, Madison Square Garden had other ideas — very loud, very unhinged ideas.
With their season hanging off the edge of a basketball cliff, the New York Knicks came out in Game 5 like they were double-parked. The result? A thunderous 111–94 win over the Indiana Pacers that didn’t just keep the series alive — it shook it back into chaos.
Jalen Brunson once again transformed into the guy every New York street court thinks they are — fearless, crafty, and allergic to losing. He controlled the game like a conductor waving a flaming baton, dishing out buckets and dimes as the MSG crowd erupted on loop.
Meanwhile, Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart turned defense into offense with the same energy as someone swatting away flies at a BBQ. The Knicks’ perimeter defense was downright rude — and the Pacers? They looked like they were stuck in traffic somewhere on FDR Drive.
Indiana’s shooting went colder than a Times Square hot dog in January. Tyrese Haliburton was held to a quiet night, while Pascal Siakam found himself matched up against a Knicks defense that suddenly remembered it was built like a brick wall.
The Garden crowd? Unhinged in the best way. Broadway has seen dramatic performances, but none quite like this fourth quarter.
So now it’s 3–2, still Indiana’s series, but with the Knicks finding their swagger again, Game 6 in Indiana is shaping up to be one of those popcorn-dumping, “what just happened” kind of nights.
Will the Pacers close it out at home… or will the Knicks drag this thing back to the world’s loudest arena for a Game 7?
Stay tuned — the drama’s just hitting its third act.
