Game 7 in Houston had everything: drama, bricks, buckets, existential crises — and a familiar sight of Steph Curry doing Steph Curry things.
The Warriors took down the Rockets 108–101, ending the series and a city’s dream with a final dagger that might as well have come with a chef’s kiss. Curry dropped 34 like it was a light warm-up and reminded everyone why you don’t give that man space, time, or even a breath near the arc.
Klay Thompson also showed up like it was 2016 — with ice in his veins and absolutely no regard for Houston’s emotions. Meanwhile, Draymond Green was out there yelling at everyone, including maybe a courtside nacho vendor, and anchoring the defense with classic chaos energy.
Houston fought, though. Jalen Green and Fred VanVleet kept it close, and there was a moment in the fourth where it looked like they might actually pull off the comeback. Then Curry hit a step-back three from another ZIP code, and you could almost hear Rockets fans groan in unison.
The Rockets’ defense got scrambled more than breakfast, and the Warriors’ ball movement was so crisp it deserved a standing ovation (or a tech for disrespect). Steve Kerr smiled. Dillon Brooks scowled. The arena sighed.
Golden State now heads to the next round, still the NBA’s most dramatic traveling rock band — part basketball team, part highlight reel.
Game 7? More like Game Steph.
