Winnipeg brought their planes, but the Blues brought turbulence — and a whole lotta goals.
The St. Louis Blues threw an absolute house party at Enterprise Center on April 27, 2025, and unfortunately for the Winnipeg Jets, they were the very unwilling guests of honor. The Blues smashed the Jets 5–1, tying the series at 2–2 and reminding everyone that playoff hockey is just a polite way of saying “expect chaos.”
Jake Neighbours kicked off the fun like a kid at a piñata party, scoring his first playoff goal and dishing out two assists like candy. Brayden Schenn joined the mayhem with a slick goal and an even slicker assist, while the Jets defense spun around like confused Roombas trying to keep up.
Meanwhile, Robert Thomas and Tyler Tucker decided it was too nice a night not to get in on the action, both firing pucks past a very stressed-out Connor Hellebuyck, who looked like he was ready to file a formal complaint with HR.
By the time Justin Faulk hammered in the fifth goal early in the third, Hellebuyck got the hook and probably started Googling “best goalie getaways far from St. Louis.” It wasn’t his night — or his defense’s night — or really anyone in a Jets jersey’s night.
Jordan Binnington, on the other hand, put on his best brick wall impression, swatting away 30 shots and looking as unbothered as someone browsing memes at 2 AM. Even when Kyle Connor sneaked one past him early, Binnington just shrugged and locked it down harder.
The Jets tried to spark a comeback, but it was like trying to put out a fire with a water pistol. The Blues kept their foot on the gas, the crowd went bonkers, and suddenly this series is tied up tighter than a new pair of skates.
Game 5 is looming large, and if tonight was any hint, neither side plans on making it boring. Spoiler alert: bring snacks.
