Colorado storms back with a monster shutout win to even the series at 2–2 — and Dallas might need a bigger shovel.
April 26, 2025 — The Dallas Stars probably wish they could hit “restart” after getting absolutely steamrolled by the Colorado Avalanche in Game 4, losing 4–0 in a playoff matchup that felt like a one-sided avalanche… pun absolutely intended.
From puck drop, Colorado was in full “we are inevitable” mode, skating circles around Dallas like it was a high-stakes game of freeze tag. Nathan MacKinnon played like he was allergic to losing, racking up a goal and an assist while making defenders look like they were stuck in slow motion.
Mikko Rantanen decided to join the party too, scoring with the casual swagger of a guy who already had his postgame dinner reservations booked. Devon Toews chipped in with a beauty, and even Cale Makar fired a rocket from the blue line that might still be orbiting somewhere over Texas.
Meanwhile, Alexandar Georgiev slammed the door harder than a parent discovering their kid didn’t do homework all semester. Georgiev posted a silky shutout, stopping every sad attempt Dallas could muster, while Stars fans Googled “how to emotionally recover from a playoff blowout.”
Dallas tried, bless their hearts, but it was like watching someone try to stop a freight train with a pool noodle. Even Jason Robertson, normally Dallas’s spark plug, looked like he was skating in quicksand.
By the third period, the Stars weren’t so much battling for goals as they were just trying to preserve what was left of their dignity… a battle they kinda lost.
Now with the series tied 2–2, both teams head back into the trenches for Game 5, where only one thing is certain: chaos will reign, popcorn will be spilled, and nobody’s getting an easy win.
